About AAHC
Is AA Health Central a clinic or medical provider?
No. AAHC is an independent, non-clinical service. We don’t diagnose, prescribe or give treatment advice. We help you navigate, organise and coordinate care with your own doctors and healthcare providers.
Is AAHC a medical tourism or concierge company?
No. We provide healthcare navigation, care coordination and patient journey support. We don’t arrange travel, and we don’t accept commissions from providers.
Who is behind AAHC?
AAHC was founded by Alison Aranha, who has 15 years of healthcare operations and administration experience across the UAE, USA and Europe.
Do you receive fees from the providers you recommend?
Never. We don’t accept referral fees, commissions or incentives from providers. Recommendations are based only on your needs, circumstances and preferences.
Getting started
What happens in the first conversation?
It is a free call of 15–30 minutes. We listen to your situation and needs, and confirm whether AAHC is the right fit. We don’t review records or make recommendations at this stage.
Do I need an assessment before support begins?
For surgery, recovery, ongoing or complex journeys, a paid Assessment & Planning stage comes first. It includes record review, a needs assessment and a written support plan. Simple, one-off requests are reviewed case by case and may not need one.
What do I need to prepare?
Nothing, for the first call. If you go ahead with an assessment, we’ll let you know which records and information would be helpful.
How quickly can support start?
Once the agreement, onboarding forms and payment are complete, communication channels are set up and coordination begins.
Services & scope
What services do you provide?
Healthcare navigation, care coordination, family and caregiver support, recovery and continuity support, in-person support, and healthcare-related administrative coordination.
Is this an emergency or 24/7 service?
No. AAHC doesn’t provide emergency, urgent or 24/7 support. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, and Saturday, 10am–2pm. In a medical emergency, call 998.
Can you guarantee insurance approval?
No. We can help coordinate the administrative side of insurance requests, but coverage decisions rest with your insurer.
Do you arrange visas, flights or hotels?
No. Visa, travel and accommodation arrangements are outside our scope.
Families
Who usually contacts you: patients or families?
Both. Many enquiries come from family members: adult children supporting a parent, spouses, or relatives living overseas. We can work with a designated family contact, with the patient’s authorisation.
I live overseas. Can you still help?
Yes. Supporting families who live overseas is one of our core journeys. We act as a trusted local contact and provide regular updates.
Does the patient need to agree?
Yes. Family communication follows the patient’s authorisation, with respect for their choices and autonomy.
Practical details
Which areas do you cover?
Dubai is included. Support in Abu Dhabi is available with a travel surcharge, and remote support is available where appropriate, including for family members overseas.
How do we communicate?
Every package includes a defined communication channel. We reply within 48 business hours.
How is my information protected?
Patient information is treated as confidential and shared only with authorised parties, in line with applicable UAE regulations. See our Privacy Policy.
How do I pay?
Assessments and navigation support are payable in advance, and ongoing journey support monthly in advance. Fees are confirmed in writing after assessment. See our Terms.
